ENGLISHIn the month of February, the students revised the topics in literature, grammar, comprehension and writing. Separate practice was done for newspaper writing, poem comprehension, leave application and article writing. They did a recap of supplementary reading and comprehension questions. The class tests and revision tests helped students to prepare for the annual exam. Several doubt clearing sessions helped them to clear their doubts individually. HINDIअपठित अवबोधन - पद्यांशावबोधन और गद्यांशावबोधन का अभ्यास कक्षा में प्रश्नोतरी कार्य करते हुए अभ्यासकार्य पूर्ण किया । पाठ का पठन-श्रवण-वाचन कौशल का मूल्यांकन करने के उपरांत वर्णविच्छेद के द्वारा वर्तनी सुधार का अभ्यास किया । रचनात्मकलेखन में प्रारूप सहित औपचारिक-पत्रलेखन, संवादलेखन , व्याकरण - मुहावरे , विलोमशब्द , पर्यायवाचीशब्द, वाक्यांश , कारक , काल, क्रिया , श्रुतिसमभिन्नार्थकशब्द आदि व्याकरणिक पदों का पदपरिचय देते हुए वाक्यरचना कर भाषा को रूचिपूर्वक सीखा और जिसके अनुसार छात्रों ने भाषिक क्षमता को सुदृढ़ता प्राप्त की। उपर्युक्त सभी बिन्दुओं की क्रमश: मौखिक और लिखित परीक्षा द्वारा तैयारी कराई गई । वार्षिक परीक्षार्थ छात्रों का उत्साहवर्धन किया गया । FRENCHQualitative adjective was done in the class with the help of worksheets. Reading passage and presentation on any topic was also done in the class. Students also revised for the annual examination by attempting recap worksheets and practice sessions. SPANISHIn the month of February, the students learnt the name of activities to be done to help at home. For example: “Planchar mi uniforme” meaning ‘to iron my uniform’. They learnt and practised how to talk about the same activities using them in ‘future tense’. They also revised the concepts for the final examination by way of discussion, revision worksheets and class tests. SANSKRITछात्रों ने संस्कृत भाषा का पठन-लेखन-श्रवण-संभाषण का अभ्यास करते हुए गद्यांशावबोधन का अभ्यास कर भाषा ज्ञान प्राप्त किया। छात्रों ने संख्यावाची शब्द १ - २० तक का लिंगवाचनानुसार प्रयोग करते हुए चित्रावली का वर्णन किया । जिसके माध्यम से छात्रों ने संस्कृत को सीखने के प्रति उत्साह दिखाया। पुनरावृति रूप धातुरूप लट्लकार और लृटलकार शब्दरूप - अकारांत और आकारांत का अनुप्रयोग विभिन्न तथा अस्मद् - युष्मद् सर्वनाम शब्दरूप की समस्त विभक्ति-तालिका निर्माण कर वाक्य रचना करते हुए अनुवाद सीखा । शब्दमंजूषा की सहायता से चित्रवर्णन का अभ्यास करते हुए भाषा के प्रति बढ़ती रुचि व प्रयास अत्यधिक प्रशंसनीय रहे । मौखिक और लिखित परीक्षा तैयारी कराते हुए छात्रों का वार्षिक परीक्षार्थ मनोबल बढ़ाया गया । MATHEMATICSIn the month of Feb, students revised all the topics covered for the Annual Examination 2020 as guided by the facilitator. CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY: REVISION With the objective of students’ better performance in the Final Term Examination to be held in the month of March 2020, revision of all the previously taught topics was taken up in the month of February. The importance of revision is indeed twofold. It not only helped them to remember facts, figures, topics and methodologies but also boosted their confidence. After revision of the concepts, they were able to easily solve the practice papers given to them. Their hands moved dexterously while drawing the internal structure of a flower, different types of venations and other diagrams. Wish them good luck for their Final Term Examination. SSTHISTORY AND CIVICS: REVISION In the month of February, students completed the syllabus and revised and strengthened their understanding, clarified their doubts and were getting geared up for the annual examination. GEOGRAPHY : India – Climate , Natural Vegetation and wildlife The last lesson of the syllabus was covered with the help of active involvement of students with the help of brainstorming about the topic. The children participated and threw a lot of questions at each other and post discussion tried to get to the answers. A lot of map work and free hand drawing of the sketch of the map of India was done to help children mark the wind direction , understand the concept of wind reversal , the changing pressure and temperature conditions prevailing over India on account of the apparent movement of the sun .The recap of the syllabus was also done by way of revision tests both oral and written . ICTThe month was fully packed with the revision, internal assessments, oral test as well as intensive practice to develop the focus and concentration factors for long. The students were given long hours practice in ICT lab to clear their doubts and to increase their speed and performance while working on Animate CC and for making HTML web pages. INDIAN MUSICThe students learnt Name of the song: Sloka chanting with instruments “ Sarve bhavantu sukhina , om Purnamida, Shubhamkaroti kalayanam ”. Instruments played: Combination of Harmonium, Tabla, Tanpura, Markas, Swartarang Exercises done: Vocal warm- up with sargam in different scales WESTERN MUSICRevision of the previous lesson with Instruments (Drum) 1. Heal the world 2. Merci is falling 3. Count on me 4. Smile on your face (wlcm song) 5. Millions of dreams DANCEThe students learnt the basics of Indian classical dance in Kathak style. They learnt the basic Tatkaar(footwork), Hastak (hand movements) and Guru Vandana . Navras is the most important part of our life, so all the students enjoyed learning about all the 9 emotions through two different facial expressions and postures, which includes all rasas like Shringaar, Hasya, Bhayanak, Veer, Raudra, Shant, Adhbhut, Vibhats and Karuna. DRAMAStudents learnt various forms of acting in drama classes, like mood, gesture, posture, facial expressions, laughter, anger and sadness through different Drama Games. "Hands of Power", "Heads up-Heads down" and the Mind Game "Up and Down" helped improve their attention span and furthered confidence in them. POTTERYThe students learnt a new sculpture technique called ‘Relief Work’, where the sculpted elements remain attached to a solid background of the same material. The sculpted material was raised above the background plane. The technique involved considerable chiselling away from the surface. The students made clay tile animals in 2D work, clay tree, flower and the full body of animals (elephant, giraffe, horse and tiger) in 3D work. LIFE SKILLSRevision for the annual exam was done.
